Understanding Our Feelings

Why do we understand that running a business is only about to execute a plan of action?

Unfortunately, a business plan is something exclusively rational and they lack their emotional side. They lack the self knowledge of the people behind it so goals can be pursued and the best performance achieved. Having a business plan is wonderful but if the person in charge of it isn’t emotionally responsible, he won’t go far through.

It is very common for a business owner to lose confidence when dealing with investors that promising ideas often get nowhere because of missing emotional skills such as: ability to receive criticism, balanced ego, ability to be questioned and answer properly, controlled passion and so on. Passion for a business project must always be kept in check.

Passion is something linked directly with entrepreneurship and the entrepreneur is always in love with his or her own idea but it’s essential to be careful with this particular emotion nonetheless.

This is much of a thin line and can compromise the evaluation of an enterprise. This emotion must be watched from above from an observer standpoint, taken outside of the business practice and examined.

That’s why it is so important to get to know ourselves, to know our feelings and to consciously reach for balance.
