What are the values guiding life?
Values are real principles which guide the actions and behaviours of any individual. For example, if a person treasures his family, how will he or she feel having to work on weekends? If they like being part of a team how will he feel working by himself in a research lab?
When you really know your values you can answer questions about your mission in life in a conscious way. Here are some questions that appear on our professional routine:
“Are you big enough to match the size of your dreams or are your dreams the same size as you?”
The limitation is inside of each one of us and only can be defined individually. It takes self-knowledge, however.
If you are a capable manager of yourself, discipline comes from within, and is a product of your free will. You become a disciple, a follower of your own fundamental values and have the will and integrity to subdue your feelings and humors to these values (COVEY, 2011, p. 179).
To start a process like this, it is worth asking some direct questions, such as:
Imagine yourself 10 years from now. Where will you be? Do you believe that you can do something different right now that will change the reality that you are in now to something that you really dream about? Do you believe you can make your dreams come true?
The fact is that enterprise is to transform dreams into reality. A person can achieve his dreams and perform this transformation. To enterprise your emotions can help you to achieve your goals and the world is in the need of entrepreneurs, people who dream and achieve!
